integration courses - german	Integration Courses – Language and orientation course for new immigrants, as well as for foreign residents, who have been living in Germany for some time, but whose knowledge of the German language is insufficient Client: Leading language school and center for languages Duration: Running continuously since 2007 Levels: Beginners Intermediate Level Examinations Number of students: Total: more than 200; Group size: up to 20 Description: The goal of the integration courses is twofold: on the one hand, to improve the students' ability to use the German language and on the other hand, to enhance their knowledge of German history, legal system, and culture. Therefore, an integration course always consists of a language course an a so-called orientation course. Integration courses are subsidized by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BaMF). An integration course comprises 5-6 language modules of 100 course units (CU) each, and an orientation course of 45 UE. Upon completion of the courses, the students have to pass the final test of the orientation course as well as the written and oral language examination German Test for Immigrants (DTZ). Students who pass both exams successfully receive a certificate from the BaMF. This certificate allows aliens to apply for naturalization after having been German residents for 7 years.
