Client: Leading consultancy company in the banking and finance sector

Duration: July – September 2005

Software: Windows 2000, Oracle 9i, 10g, ERwin, SQL, PL/SQL, SQLNavigator, Visual Source Safe, C++, Visual Studio

Description: zeb/basel.II is a standard data warehouse, which is used as basis for a Basel-II computational kernel. zeb/basel.II is integrated into the global layer zeb/data-warehouse as well as into the product family zeb/control.

The pilot implementation was completed on assignment of a large popular bank. After the successful roll-out of the pilot, the product will be used in other banks, too.

Own tasks:
  • Design and implementation of a data factorization procedure as basis for the parallelization of the computational kernel
  • Design and implementation of the version management of the Basel-II configuration data
  • Data modeling – Design of a data model for the existing entities and enhancement with the new entities created in this project
  • Optimization and performance tuning on database level
  • Writing and consolidating implementation and test concept papers
  • Definition of the interface to the client
