ilir	Inbound Logistics Infrastructure Renewal – Consolidation and modernization of the hardware and software infrastructure of 4 applications Client: Worldwide leading automotive company - Department "Material Planning & Logistics" (MP&L) Duration: October 2006 – June 2007 Software: Linux, Oracle 9i, SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD, imp, exp, tkprof, PVCS, SQLDeveloper, Java, Websphere, Web interfaces, JavaScript, Perl, Excel Description: The ILIR project comprises the consolidation and modernization of the hardware and software infrastructure of 4 MP&L applications. Apart from switching to a common standard hardware, the software was upgraded to comply with the most recent customer standards. Parallel to the migration, a special emphasis was placed on re-structuring and unification of base constructs in the 4 applications, as well as to performance tuning on single application and integrated level. Own tasks: Responsibility for the technical part of the project plan, for effort and cost estimations, as well as for dimensioning the consolidated servers Coordination of activities between the teams Application Development, IT Infrastructure, and Database Administration Design and coordination of the integration and of the user acceptance tests Migration of the 4 applications to Oracle 9i Re-structuring and unification of concepts in the 4 applications (Schemas, Privileges, Tablespaces, Database Links, Tables, Constraints, Stored Procedures, etc.) Re-structuring of the load and backup concepts Improvements and enhancements on database level for compliance with the customer standards Performance tuning on single application level and on integrated portfolio level
