Galileo Data Warehouse – Adaptation of a Data Warehouse to new source systems

Description: The Galileo Project comprises the replacement or modernization of several of the customer's operative systems, such as the CRM system. The aim of the Galileo DW project is to adapt the BIC Data Warehouse to the new source systems. As the migration is being performed over a longer period of time, the old and the new database structures must co-exist, and the loading and transformation routines must work in parallel.

Own tasks:
  • Migration of data structures, loading and processing logic to accommodate the new Galileo source systems (PeopleSoft CRM, etc.)
  • Responsibility for the areas "Cases" and "Contact History"
  • Responsibility for "Call Center Reporting"
  • Design and implementation of data loads
  • Implementation of data transformations between the DWH layers
  • Structuring and optimizing the data base
  • Writing software concepts
  • Running module and integration tests
